Wow! my last entry was in October of 2011?! Sorry folks, here's what's happened since then. I was in Austin, TX for Wizard World back in 2011 and had a very successful show, not a completely fun weekend, but did well professionally.

Halloween, Christmas, my daughter's birthday, wife's birthday (in Vegas) and Easter were all great family moments with lots of fun and love.

Did C2E2 in Chicago this April... I have mixed results for the show and might have to do it again to get a solid beat on that show. On a side note, don't take the train... like ever! Amtrak is poo in my mind.
Since last year, I've worked on: Star Wars, Marvel, Vampirella, Red Sonja, Bettie Paige, Warlord of Mars and Shi.

What I am working on: I'm re-imagining a clone trooper helmet to be auctioned off for Make A Wish at Celebration. Another 2 Star Wars projects for Celebration. Mars Attacks, more Marvel and Bettie Paige.
Wow, I think that's everything. I'll be doing much better to keep you up to date. I promise!

Had an awesome time this past weekend at Detroit Fanfare! Thanks to all who came out and made it a blast! Nice meeting the folks I met and enjoyed my friends immensely! Now it's time to focus on Star Wars Fan Days in two weeks in Dallas! Spreading the love from D to D!

I will be hosting a panel on sketch cards with many of the industry's top artists on Sunday the 25th.

I will be apart of an exhibit at the River's Edge Gallery in Wyandotte. The exhibit is on comic book/ pop culture art featuring several local artists in the industry like... ME! Come on out the 25th of February to meet the artists, watch live demos, food, wine, storm troopers and good times.

Unattributed Artist?!

On page 14 in issue 1 of the 22nd volume of Non-Sports Update magazine, there is an article written on the new Bettie Page trading card series from Versicolor. Some kind words were said about the base card I painted of the lovely pin-up. Here is an excerpt from the article that referenced my card:

"The series was introduced at the Chicagoland Entertainment Collectors Expo (CECE). The BP2-CECE was a little disappointing being only the logo for the series. It appears to have been the general admission promo. The BP1-CECE more than made up for it with a jungle Bettie sketch from an unattributed artist."

So I've been pretty busy lately (good thing), so busy that I've neglected keeping you "posted." So let me get you up to speed:

I worked on trading cards for Monsters, Zombies and Freaks from Cult-Stuff due out early 2011.

I worked on the new Star Wars Galaxy 6 trading card series from Topps due out in March 2011.

I worked on trading cards for FemForce from SadLittles due out in early 2011.

I finished up my cards for The Bettie Page collection from Versicolor Productions due out in mid 2011.

... and am currently working on trading cards for Marvel Dangerous Divas from Ritenhouse due out this spring!
